On February 13, 2026, New Covenant United Methodist Church in The Villages once again transformed into a place of celebration, dignity, and pure joy as it hosted Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine — a worldwide prom experience honoring individuals with special needs.
From the moment each honored guest stepped onto the red carpet, the tone was clear: this was not just an event. It was an experience.
A Grand Entrance Fit for Royalty
Cheers erupted. Cameras flashed. Volunteers lined the walkway, applauding as Kings and Queens made their grand entrances, walking arm-in-arm with their buddies — crowns proudly in place. Every guest was met with the same enthusiasm and affirmation — you matter, and tonight is your night.
Inside, the celebration continued with dinner, music, and a dance floor that stayed full all evening.
A Community of All Generations
One of many inspiring sights of the evening was the overwhelming turnout of middle and high school students who volunteered their time to serve. Their bands, cheerleaders, and student groups lined the walkways and red carpet as part of the “paparazzi,” cheering passionately as each honored guest made their entrance.
The excitement was contagious. Signs waved. Music played. Applause echoed down the walkway. Their energy helped create an atmosphere that felt electric — ensuring every King and Queen experienced a grand welcome worthy of the spotlight.
Seeing younger generations step up to celebrate and serve so enthusiastically is a powerful reminder that inclusion, compassion, and dignity are values being carried forward.
Powered by Volunteers and Purpose
Behind the scenes, 429 dedicated volunteers, organized across 20 planning teams, gave their time, energy, and heart to make every detail extraordinary. Their efforts ensured each of the 169 honored guests was celebrated and that 89 caregivers were provided a welcoming space to rest and connect.
What sets this event apart year after year is the extraordinary attention to detail. Nothing is left to chance. From the sparkle of the red carpet lights to the perfectly prepared meals, the music, the décor, and the quiet spaces prepared for caregivers, every element is thoughtfully orchestrated to create a night worthy of Kings and Queens.
Every honored guest was individually crowned — a powerful and moving reminder that each person is seen, valued, and celebrated.

Just before the final dance and balloon drop, Dana Osmanski addressed the audience, offering heartfelt thanks to the sponsors, volunteers, caregivers, and honored guests who made the evening so special. A Personal Reflection
For our family, the evening carried special meaning. Kevin had a wonderful time — smiling, dancing, and soaking in every moment of celebration. Seeing him walk the red carpet and fully enjoy the experience is something we never take for granted. A heartfelt thank you to his prom buddy, Malinda, who walked beside him with kindness and joy, helping make the night even more memorable. Moments like these remind us why Night to Shine means so much to families like ours.
A Community That Continues to Shine
As the final song played and the balloon drop filled the room with color and excitement, the impact of the evening was unmistakable. Night to Shine 2026 was more than a prom — it was a powerful reminder of what happens when a community chooses to celebrate dignity, inclusion, and unconditional love.
In The Villages, the music may have faded and the balloons settled, but the joy, affirmation, and memories created will continue to shine long after the last dance.
