We are excited to invite you to an OPEN HOUSE at the buildings we are in the process of acquiring for My Special Place! Our realtor, Fran Dann-Akin, will be hosting this wonderful opportunity.  Whether you are interested in this residential housing for your family member or know one who may be interested in donating to our mission, please come:

Capital Fundraising Campaign

Updates

The Property:
  • We signed the Purchase and Sales Agreement on November 3 for the property located at 1475 El Camino Real in The Villages. We are currently in our Due Diligence period (up to 75 days) to complete inspections, assessments, and other required evaluations. Our goal is to close in February 2026.
  • My Special Place has identified an exceptional property located in The Villages, nestled in the Spanish Springs area, featuring 44 private residential units across two buildings.
  • These buildings offer flexible living models to serve individuals across a wide range of abilities – from those needing minimal support to those requiring higher levels of care.
  • The location is ideal for community engagement, recreational activities, and local employment opportunities, allowing residents to enjoy the same vibrant lifestyle for which The Villages is famous.
Service Provider:
  • We have selected  a licensed service provider with 60 years of experience.
  • The provider will operate, manage, and deliver high-quality care and support services for our residents.
  • A My Special Place Board member will serve on their board so our voice is represented.
